The 'Once' video on V-H.com

Over at the van-halen.com it says there should be a copy of the 'Once' video from David Bertinelli on this site.

If there is, can any of the big wigs here get a high resolution copy for us to download?

I tried to email DB, using the link on that site, but it got returned.

I love the song and want to see the video in a better quality than they offer.

That copy if atrocious......way too compressed.

With everyone getting broad band lines and faster machines everyday, offer a better quality one than that, please.

A high res, full 7 minute copy would look and sound great on my G4 and these Yamaha monitors.

Please..............

Yeah, I'd like to see it too. I tried to watch it yesterday actually, but I couldn't get it to work. I've heard it's not very good, but I'd like to see for myself.

The video STINKS.

It's horrible.

You know how a while back someone was joking about the "Loss Of Control" video being cheesy? Well "Once" is wayyyyy worse.

Anyone who hasn't seen it yet, don't worry one bit.

You ain't missed nothing.

I downloaded the 7 minute version and I was pissed. There's live footage, backstage footage, but no GOOD footage.

Everything is amazingly uninteresting. It was strictly amateur hour.

I know that David Bertinelli is family, but he's no director.

That pretty much sums it up... the idea of backstage 'offcut' clips is fine, but its just boring shit of the guys sitting round really, not doing anything particualy interesting, and they are just cobbled together as if the music they are set to was an afterthought

I agree somewhat here. It seems too thrown together for me too. Considering I am a music video director. I have been in the film biz for 7 years.

You can't say it sucks that bad, when you can't see any of the imagery.

It is compressed to hell.

Put an uncompressed version on the site for us with DSL and fast dual processor G4's (little plug for my machine).

Since this was shot on DV, not on film, it's not going to look amazing anyway..

You could take the footage (7 min version) and compress it at 15fps and put it up on the site, it would be about a 63meg file. That would take the average Joe with say, DSL only 3 minutes to download......The quality would be very good, considering it was originated on Dv or some video based format.....

Lets get on it. Get it up and running......

May not be the best video, but it's still some fun footage of the greatest rock band ever..
