What can we confirm at this point???

I very seldom post....but after reading all the different bullshit rumors..I just want to know if there is anything that has been confirmed. Sure I know about the encounter at disneyland or world with MA....but he didn't say "New album....New Tour...Roth Back! I began following this saga last year. Things really picked up when in the early fall when we had commercials of Gap clothing kids dancing to VH....the Gateway commercial and a Spin cover w/ featured Roth. Then all the rumors...From some jerk-off who worked in a CD plant...Roth sightings in LA Bars with strippers....at Cal hotel in which some guy talks to him. We got people posting tour dates...People who can tell you every new track titles on the supposed upcoming CD. The only thing that to me IMO is evidence is the small caption artical under a small pic of evh. that was in Guitar Magazine. Also have to believe the fact that most radio stations around the country have made mention to this rumor. I think I saw somewhere were on some record industry list were they had Van Halen listed for new release in the first quarter of 2001. But other than this, is there anything factual that anybody knows....I would think with as powerful as the media is today...there would be some mention on VH-1, MTV, Entertainment weekly, ET....of this rumor. Yes I believe, but can anyone just get some facts out here?

I dont post a lot either but have been reading this everyday almost since the beginning. And really I think the only thing we can confirm is that Theodore is a wack job. Besides that we wait and see and hope we all get what we want.

While I have read no rumor or report as to the present status or direction Van Halen headed that is true with absolute certainty, I would say that the most accurate estimation as to the band's status is probably found in "mainstream" rumors and alleged reports from "insiders." That is: Dave is back Van Halen. The band has either completed or is nearing completion of a new CD. The band is taking care of relevant, necessary business prior to the release of the new CD and subsequent tour. I do not believe that if the band has no intention of contuing of recording and touring, that they would simply part ways and say nothing about such a decision. With that in mind, it may be worth at least checking the various links in hopes of an annoucement at least once a week.

we can confirm that this is all fucking bullshit and that we are all very frustrated at this point!

the only rumors that have surfaced are the ones that have been started on the net or radio stations. absolutely nothing concrete has come from vh except for the fact that they say ed's health scare in may was exaggerated.

it's time for some god damned news in some form or another and it's getting quite rediculous right now. it was always, well there will be news after the first of january cuz daniels is gone. you watch, february will come and go and we still won't hear shit. boy do i hope i'm wrong! i mean, i love this band to death. but if the legailities are this burdensome right now, it could be forever before we hear anything. and we have been left in the dark so we do not know anything.

someone needs to leak something for the fans. something positive, something to look forward to.

We don't really know very much at all. Gary left, and shortly thereafter VH went silent. Dave's club tour ended as scheduled, and then he went silent. Dave's band members are working on other projects, and Luzier mentioned that they'd planned on opening for ACDC on their North American tour, but this all fell through. Dave's "people" at Slawterhouse have been firm that Dave has a new solo CD coming out, but have been incorrect in or have overstated any info they've put out about it

We don't have any firm facts on a new CD, a tour, or a single. There's no proof that DLR and Van Halen are even talking to each other, although cirmcumstances strongly suggest it.

Goo and I do know that an announcement will be made, though.

What can we confirm?

We can confirm that Van Halen remaining silent is the best marketing they could come up with.

We can confirm that tensions are so strong between Dave and the boys that any project they do together could end any day. Thus, they will not confirm their partnership in public.
