95.5 KLOS radio in Los Angeles just announced that a VH box set will be released sometime this fall!!!!!!!
They are generally well informed and don't mention rumours. They are the biggest classic rock station in Southern California.
Finally some new VH!

This would make sense. I think we discussed this when VH and WB split. WB will release old stuff to get as much money out of their property as they can.
Your favorite band sucks.

Watch it be a greatest hits compilation with a few demos or live tracks thrown in....
"There's a Japanese term called wabi-sabi, not wasabi, but wabi-sabi. It means an appreciation for the imperfect, the less than precision. The cowboy boots that you never polish because it's bad luck. That is completely wabi-sabi. Van Halen is that." - DLR 2002<br /><br />"Look! I can see their parachutes! They're ok..." - Tenshinhan, DragonBall Z

For the lazy ones....
Eddie Van Halen has been battling tongue cancer for the last 2 years. But he has just been given a clear bill of health by his doctors, proclaiming him Cancer-Free! Be on the lookout for a great Van Halen Box Set in the autumn."I read somewhere that 77 per cent of all the mentally ill live in poverty. Actually, I'm more intrigued by the 23 per cent who are apparently doing<br />quite well for themselves." - Jerry Garcia (Grateful Dead)

It's going to be two more years until we see a "new" album.
a box set is great and all... but a new album would be even better!

Well for a new album they need a complete band.
For a Box Set, all you need is Ed & Al going through their vaults...Little Dreamer

Throw in a live Dave CD/DVD and I'll be happy!

Fine by me -
What's so bad about that? Many of us have said we'd like a box set of VH finally, and apparently now they are giving it to us. As long as the lineup of the band is unsettled, at least they would be giving us something. And something that many have clamored for to boot.
I would seriously doubt that after all the uproar over their recent decisions, they would give us a set that wasn't worth it.
Hey Glenn - think they'll autograph yours?

And WHO predicted this the day it was announced that WB dropped the band?
WHO was it that said we would have a box before Christmas?
Yep, Public Enemy #1 of the VHML cult, that's who.
(And I told y'all that Mick Taylor would be back with the Stones too )Eat Us And Smile
Welcome back, Van HALEN!!!!
...It's the BAND and Dave is really the cat that can front VH. He sang his ASS off and was really cool. No cheese here guys, this is filet Mignon! - Steve Lukather's comment after witnessing a Van HALEN 2007 rehearsal

A box set of what????
If WB owns Oakland '81 on video and throws it in, I'll buy it...If not, I'll pass.
I sure as hell hope there is no Hagar or Cherone in it.
