This was posted today 4/18/01 on www.dlrnd.com.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to expand on what I said a few days ago here at the newsdesk.
I have a source that has a good working relationship with some of Warner Bros. Management. They give him information on various things, he keeps his finger on the pulse of today's music and shares this information with them.
Briefly, in conversation, it came up that I was working here. He informed me that Warner Management Executives have told him on more than one occasion that Van Halen and David Lee Roth ARE REUNTIED AS WE READ THIS VERY INFORMATION! I was told that I could look forward to a NEW Van Halen album in October. The members of Eat Us And Smile, the Diamond mafia, and the other DIEHARD FANS of the DLR ARMY and DLR NEWSDESK shall refer to this month, henceforth as ROTHTOBER!
The NEW album ( I emphasize NEW because I have been informed there is NO WAY The Diamond One would do a greatest hits album again. ) is supposed to have thirteen tracks, two of which are supposed to be instrumentals.
Now, moving onto another subject. I have been told by various sources ( not the above source though, or I would have included this there! ) that Diamond Dave will be playing a li'l blues harp on this album. I have not been told if that is on a limited number of tracks or otherwise. Now, after the mass email I recieved after the first time I posted this, I will explain what a blues harp is. A blues harp is a HARMONICA! Now, if you don't know that, please do not send emails asking me what a harmonica is! Its a blues harp!
Now, for a moderate explanation...I deleted the original post and cleaned it up for reposting. I had several typos in the last one, and I can not edit my posts. The best I can do is to delete them and repost them. Now you ask, what of Spellchecker? That is a great question! Let me tell you this, my source with the Warner information phoned it to me at 2:00 in the morning, and I posted it right away. I didn't bother to proof it, or spellcheck it, because I'm a slacker! Anyway, this should appear cleaner for you picky folks who emailed me!
As Always....ROCK ON TROOPERS!

I just wonder if, at this late stage in the game, it is possible to have just ONE such leak. I would imagine that, if it were true, we'd have several sources with the same information.
And, lest we forget, October 2000 was supposed to be Rothtober as well, and we all know how that turned out.Don't bark at me...I didn't name ya.

I thought the Jew's harp was that thing you put against your front teeth and twang a stiff metal wire, using your mouth for tone.

All I can add is, is that I wish they (VH) would tell us that DLR is the singer again.

Sounds fairly plausible. I like the idea of Dave playing harp again, too.

Didn't Roger Daltrey also play it on the song Join Together. I have that video and it's a classic.

AJW:
When you get to this, I'll be at work. I gotta know how you feel your rumor holds up when compared to what Dave left at the slawterhouse?? Seriously, the stories are not even in the same ball park. If Dave is playing with us, then so be it. If not, a lot of people in LA or NJ really don't know what is going on. Let me know. I'll be back in 12 hours or so.
I hope you are correct.

How the hell can this guy post this stuff?? Dave spoke - said he hadn't been to the studio in 8 months!?!
This also means that what Dweezl said was bullshit.Winners come and go; legends are forever.
