WTF!
Are we going to have to wait for Wolfie to start his own band before we get another Van Halen CD?

Welcome to the world of Van Halen, my friend. The land that logic forgot.
"One of the reasons I left Sabbath was because Van Halen was blowing us off the stage every night. It was embarrassing." -Ozzy Osbourne
"When I first heard "Runnin' With The Devil" on the radio, I was stunned and found myself dizzy, walking through my high school hallways thinking, "What was THAT?!"
Eddie Van Halen was so innovative and kicked so much ass, and David Lee Roth was for a time indisputably the Greatest Man in America.
If aliens came down and challenged us to a Battle of the Bands to decide the fate of Planet Earth, I would feel very confident putting early Van Halen forward as our champion." -Tom Morello
"There is no heir to the throne of Eddie Van Halen. Nobody sits on that throne. Nobody takes that throne. Here's why it's different with Eddie: when a great guitar player passes, you just move on to another, right? But in this case, Eddie wasn't just a 'guitar player'. We're talking about a guy who changed culture and how we play guitar. He was like an alien coming in and fucking everything up so much that even the legends beforehand are like, 'Okay .. what is happening here? What sorcery is this?'" -Nuno Bettencourt

"You are the McCarthy of this board. The witch burner." - strungout, on yours truly
"Only Eddymon would claim victory during a FOUR game losing streak." - OLO
"Did I not say, 'I think we should shoot him!' I did. Double rainbow on this end. I require a high five. Out."- track 5, on the delicate art of banning

Ah yes!
Welcome to "Howdy Doodey Mountain"! "Keep honking buddy. I'm reloading..." -The Mard
"......HEY!.............alright............." -BIG FOOT
" I know what you're thinking: "Do I want to watch Mard? We know that horses were very strong and could actually stop airplanes from flying away. The ones made out of stone called "statues" -- occasionally came to life and rode off is a colonial cliche. How many more times do we need to hear about how the oppressive Raj's wore villainous black capes, crafted cunning plastic masks to impersonate people, and drained all the blood from their slaves so they could keep the fluid in bottles in their dungeons? I mean, YAWN!
But if you're willing to sit through this dry sort of historical drama one more time -- or even just this dry historical review -- you will not be disappointed. In fact, some of you might just learn something they didn't teach you in school!- MARD-The Movie

Achievements:
It almost makes you wish it were 1997 again...not because of Gary being in the band, but because the band posted all relevent news on their site.

Business changes such as the WB split wasn't such a big issue... VH wasn't exactly an active entity in the music business at the time... Plus I doubt it involved a multi-million dollar pay off ie... Mariah Cary.
Now a charity event is a much more public happening and quite a different thing than a private business matter...
Your milage may vary...Woke up this mornin, got Blue Moon in your eyes...

Obviously, the split from Warner Brother's was important and news worthy. They (Ed & Al) just didn't want us to know about it for whatever reason and they therefore chose to keep it quiet. When it finally became public, the spin doctors went to work to try to explain it away as nothing important.
Remember how the split from WB's was described as a positive development though? Hmmm, nothing important but a very positive development eh? Right...
It has been six months since and what has transpired?
Michael Anthony joined another band and Sam and Dave are out touring together. Ed lawyers are pissing off all the fans and pissing on webmasters who give of their free time, energy and money to promote the band.
Yep, good thing they split with old Warner Brothers. This Member:Van Halen Fan EST. 1978
