Doubtful if the "band" would be effected... Edward might be effected emotionally but whether that is a good effect or bad on the band depends on how it plays out within his humanity...

Divorce effects a lot of people very differently but the process can be very simular to effects felt when someone experiences a death of someone close to them... there's a progression of emotions,... denial, anger, guilt, apathy, deppression. etc...

Frankly this isn't really appropriate to be discussing.. it's the Van Halen's personal lives and none of our business...

Probably would have no affect on the band financially. Under California's community property laws the community estate(what they own together) ends at the point of separation when there is no intent to reconcile. The actual date the divorce is final means nothing as far as Val's interest in what the band does.

Hence, Val's right to claim half of what Ed makes on FUTURE endeavors ended when they split unless they intend to reconcile. Val would have no right to money made off a future albulm. However, sales from the old catalog would still likely entitle Val to half of what Ed makes.
