I think I'll finally get a VH tatoo after all these years. Though it would be great if Van Halen made more music, it doesn't take away from all they've given us already.

The only problem is choosing which VH logo to get. I'm a fan of all eras since 1980, but I can't decide on this. Any ideas?

I got my VH tattoo last April and am very pleased!
I was going to get the VH logo with the Dave tiger busting through but I checkened out. Since I prefer the Dave era I wanted just the traditional logo but I researched and checked out some photos. The problem with the VH logo from either of the first two albums is that if you put it on your arm/shoulder (where mine is) the wings of the VH look limp!

So I went with the VH Rings (goes with the shape of your arm) - to be exact its the exact size from F.U.C.K CD cover - tell you what I couldn't be happier - and have had a lot of thumbs up!

I went with the rings also. Just looks better on the deltoid region. I also have 5150 inked right below it.

Take a close look at Ed's the next time you see it in a picture. He must of been drunk when he got it (or the dude that did it!). His rings are all messed up!

Agree! The pic I saw - the dude had the VH 2 log - and it looked like the wings were deflated.

I love mine - just bummed I waited so long!

And before someone slams me for bashing Dave, this was a joke and I could have used Sammy in the joke. Dave fit the joke better since more chicks were sweet on Dave than Sam.

I got the vh off the F.U.C.K album about 4 years ago.I wanted to get in blue,but it fades alot more.So I got red with black trim.It still looks good as new.Red is your best bet for color.p.s.when I have gone to the Sammy and Dave solo shows,people always say,damn that guy has a bad as tatoo

I've thought about it. My original idea was to do Calvin (from Calvin and Hobbs) in overalls with shades playing Ed's guitar. Glad I didn't do that one, to "cute".

My main issue is that I'm a hairy fuck, got hair all over my back and shoulders (shudder) so it would ba a waste. If I ever do the laser hair removal bit, which I might, I'll consider it again. I'd do the VH with the rings.

No way would I ever tatoo a bands logo on my body. But different strokes, eh.

Anyway if you're that hardcore and really wanted the old VH logo, I would bet it would look on your back! [img]smile.gif[/img]
