Yep! They rented Francis Ford Coppola's Zoetrope Movie Studio, set up the stage and lighting and did a full run through of the show.

Well, as the mode of transportation for the unplugged 1884 tour was horse-drawn carriage I seem to recall reading in the history books that Van Halen did a full stage dress rehearsall in the Yukon during the gold rush.
