Eddie at Guitar Center in Sherman Oaks yesterday...

First off let me say that I hardly ever post, and when I do they are never rumors, but.....

I have been looking for a used, first generation, Peavy 5150 amp. Knowing that Guitar Center sells used equipment I thought I would stop by and see if they had one for me. They didn't. But I got a little info about VH.

Eddie, who lives in the neigborhood, came in with Wolfgang yesterday buying misc. "drum stuff". Anyway an employee approached Ed and said 'So I hear the old band is getting back together?' Ed's reply 'Actually right now we are not doing anything.'

That's it, that's all I got out of him.

Does this mean they are not doing anything at all?

Does this mean that they are not doing anything until dickheads contract expires?

Does this mean they are with Dave?

I don't know. But I thought I'd pass on the heresay. Take it with a grain of salt.

Hopefully this means that there's just a few things that need to be soughted out and at this very point in time they are not doing anything. I mean I wan't even there but from what you said it sounds like Ed was sarcastically speaking - kinda saying that he's pissed off because of the delays. Thats the impression I got from what he said. I think he would have said something more hostile if Dave wasn't in the band altogether.

Just my interpretation.

I leave a few miles from Ed and that Guitar center and I was at the GC yesterday.....

If I didn't have bad luck, I would have no luck.......

I work with people like Tom Hanks, Travolta, Paxton, Whoopi Goldberg etc...everyday and I could care less. I have still not yet met the King and seem to be, I never will......

Anyway, soryy for the cry baby routine....lol

Eddie was buying drum stuff? Oh god, do you know what this means? We've alternately worried about the singer and the bass player, but now Eddie has kicked Alex out.

Okay, tonight is really my last night on the crack pipe, I swear.

This statement from Ed could, like all the others, be interpreted in a dozen different ways. Since we don't know, no point in worrying about it.

Assuming those words are verbatim, or as close to accurate as possible, it's interesting that Ed doesn't respond, "We aren't working with Roth" or "The old band isn't back together," but instead "We're not doing anything right now." Sounds to me like the "old band" being back together is implied. After all, the guy at the store didn't say "What are you, Al, and Mikey doin?" now did he...

And maybe Al is back on guitar and Ed's tryin' out the drums... guitar is probably a little easier on the neck, while sitting behind the drums might be easier on the hip than jumping around stage...
