Your thoughts on Doc Mcghee as the (possible) new VH manager

what do you guys & gals think of this?
it's in the VHND headlines, but the story is basically a rumor started over at another discussion bored - er, board. lol. j/k.

Personally, I hope Scotty Ross becomes (hopefully, after all this time, he IS [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img] ) the new manager for VH.

Scotty knows them better than anyone, and I can't imagine him ever screwing over (or screwing up) VH the way Danniels did. Grrrr

I know it's only a rumor, but if it turns out to be Doc... If Jon Bon Jovi fired him, you know he must be good. [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]

i just looked at the VHE
and it says SCOTTY ROSS
is the tour manager; i have four questions.
1) what is the difference between a tour manager and a regular manager(i'm pretty sure i know)
but it seems that SR does much of what DICKHEAD DANNIELS did.
don't know if SR would want to do it.
2) does it say if anything in the INSIDE SPRING '98?
3) has anyone ever met SCOTTY ROSS?
4) how long has he been with the band?
and i agree with DIF i don't think he would screw the fans.

Doc has a reputation, but I don't think he has screwed any of his bands...Ex.Motley Crue and Kiss. I mean look at what he has done to kiss after all these years and they are still around...Touring!
So if VH go with Doc Mcghee great!. Everyone would agree that he's better that Ray Daniels.

Probably not. But being a band manager and being a tour manager are completely different things. No offence to Scotty but if his talents lie in organizing the complicated business of a huge tour that doesn't mean he would be any good at the business/legal side of it.

An operation as large as a VH reunion is surely too much for one person to organize everything. I'd probably be happier with him sticking to what we know he is good at.

Grant posted at vhml suggesting that the source of this rumour is someone reliable who he knows. Apparently the precise quote said that VH would be touring Australia later this year.

What a trip.

Last year, a guy I used to work with got backstage ticks to the KISS farewell thing directly from Doc. Doc likes his golf a TON and my pal is head pro at a pretty good course that I used to work at. Anyways, backstage we were having some drinks before the show, and of course I asked Doc what he has heard about VH if anything. He said just the rumours that we all know, and actually specifically said: "I wouldnt mind running that gig". LOL. I cant believe this is up here as a post now. [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img] I for one wouldnt mind a bit. Just one more shoe in at the next show that comes to town for this kid getting to go backstage. [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]h

Doc Mcgee is a logical choice to do the tour. Especially after doing the KISS reunion tour etc.
