    Hmm...

Boy, that'd be a MAJOR shame if that were true...

I think Dave is cool as hell...but I have to agree with the conditions were in the rider in the fact that they probably needed their distance...I can only imagine the craziness that was going on down his way....

That was just weird reading some of that.....room temp water? Yuck.

Where was the "ah ha! You didn't read the entire rider" line item?
Imagine a world without Eddie Van Halen.

"From the moment David Lee Roth appeared at the top of a giant runway that snaked through the Oklahoma City Ford Center audience Tuesday night, he wore the one thing that told every Van Halen fan that everything was right with the world. It was a maniacal Cheshire cat smile announcing happiness and enthusiasm that cannot be faked. Not only was the old band back together, it was thriving."

It was cheap booze and it was done in moderation.

Indeed, when one is a raving out of control alcoholic, cheap booze in moderation is always the best way to go.

Lightly rinsed second hand needles are the best way to go for the budget conscious heroin addict as well.
The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.

Room temp water is actually good for you and has intestinal tract benefits believe it or not. Eastern medicine has been prescribing it for years. Cold water on the other hand, as most prefer it, "constricts the pipes" as it were.

    (useless factoid of the day)

Room temperature water is much easier to chug down when you're dehydrated as opposed to ice cold water which starts to give you brain freeze if you drink too much too fast.
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.

Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly.

I wonder why every single dressing room had to have "one large trash can and several smaller ones"? Would Al have gone ballistic if his room had two large cans and no smaller ones?

Speaking of Al, kind of funny that he and Wolfie both wanted large TVs with cable and pay per view access but neither Dave or Ed requested that--exactly how I would have predicted.

Speaking as a real (recovering) alcoholic, WTF is Ed thinking with four little, cheesy bottles of wine? That's only enough to get the alcohol center of your brain turned on, then you're hungry, hungry for more, more, more!

No wonder he was chucking monitors around the stage and bashing his guitar on the ground.

For you (male) non-alcoholics, imagine that you're trying to abstain from sex. Then you get into bed with a woman, and you start having sex, and you get exactly four strokes before you have to pull out, stop and go do something else. What's the point? Better to not do it at all, or, if you're going to jump off the wagon, go for it! Don't try to moderate.

    Don't read this.

Would it still be a good thing if indeed it was Ed that wanted Daves dressing room as far away as possible from him?
