I don't have enough time to peruse all the posts here to figure out what went on this weekend and what we know about the state of the band, a new cd, etc. If some of you more reputable guys could just reply to this thread and fill me in, I could just check back on and off when I have a spare moment to get my info. I am swamped with work and have been throughout the weekend and the two minutes I have spent on this post is all the longer I have at this time. Thanks guys.

Well, I'm pretty busy myself and hadn't had a chance to log on this weekend, but just from what I've gathered this morning, here's the scoop:
Michael appeared at the NAMM awards this weekend, Eddie appeared via video.
Michael mentioned new album by fall and reiterated his original statement that the singer of VH is still "someone really well known"
Eddie's video portrayed a happy and healthy thin, short-haired man. His reason for not physically appearing at the NAMM is because he's working his buns off on something big. Ed does mention the word "tour"....take this as a good sign.
Other than the rumours and countless speculations (my head is spinning), the above are the facts.

I am now officially "on the record" as stating that I do not believe that the next VH album with feature the vocal stylings of one David Lee Roth.
I am basing this prediction not on fact but on personal instinct - instinct that is not always 100% bang-on, but it has served me well in the past.
My instinct is based on a tone of ennui and listless drift that I sense from both the Van Halen and DLR camps. I am not sensing the excitement that would surely be there if something "monstrous" (like a reunion) was in the works.
I could be wrong. I hope I'm wrong. But as a betting man I am forced to put my money on a fourth singer.
Keep in mind folks that a failed reunion does not make any of the participants any less brilliant than we know they are.
