well, I know of some..there's the back to the future movies, in #1 Vh is blasted into George McFly's ears by Marty....(remember that bit? My favorite bit)

In the second one, this isn't really VH, but they play sammy hagar's "I can't drive 55".

In twister, Eddie Van Halen plays a few songs on the soundtrack....

In Bill and ted's excellent adventure, Bill and Ted say they need Eddie Van Halen on guitar...

So...just wondering, does anyone else know of any Van halen/DLR/Sammy Hagar references/songs in movies or tv?...

Or even in a magazine.like, a parody of their cd covers??

Hope this can be an interesting topic.

One of my favorites is in "Better off Dead" with John Cusack . He has a dream about working in a burger joint and a burger comes to life playing Everybody Wants Some on Eds Shark guitar . It`s a great bit

there's a 5150 t-shirt in bill and ted too.

in a spider-man comic long gone past, spidey glosses a loud mouthed goon as "van halen" when he keeps telling a guy on a ledge to 'JUMP!'

on some MST 3K episode, joel robinson invented a fucked up guitar that let him play a super secret eddie van halen chord (or something). they also said one of the bad guys in 'alien from LA' looked like him (same episode where they reference paul westerberg).

'good enough' appears in spaceballs.

and the hits just keep on coming...

WHat was the movie where some dudes hijack a radio station, and then a guy (a cop) wants to come in and talk to the hijackers, so they ask him, "whoose side were they on DLR or VH during the break up", and when the guy answers "VH", they say "the dudes a cop" and kick him out.

My memory sucks and I am generalizing, but it was funny.

Remember Eddie did stuff for one of Valerie's movies too. I hear David Lee Roth references ALL THE TIME. Garth Brooks made a parody of Lost weekend with Dave on SNL once. geez i dunno what else.

Most Adam Sandler movies have at least a subtle VH reference. In Big Daddy, his answering machine message has JUMP play and he dubs his own voice in to say "leave a message" over jump..."might as well 'leave a message'

Garth wears VH apparel in both Wayne's World movies.

don't forget "Deputy Van Halen" in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure.

And the appearance in the Behind the Laughter episode in The Simpsons

Played Panama repeatedly to get people away from their house on the Drew Carrey show once.
Gozer the Traveller will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldronaii the Traveller came as a very large and moving Torb. Then of course in the third reconciliation of the last of the Meketrex supplicants they chose a new form for him, that of a Sloar. Many Shubs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Sloar that day I can tell you.
