Whos going to see Sammy?

So who is all going to see Sammy on his solo tour? Im gonna go to the Philly show, I figure since Ive never seen ANY member of VH live before, I figure this is a good place to start. Since I havent seen any talk of Sammys tour, I was wondering what was up with this place.

I've never been to a Sammy concert myself, but I've seen setlists and heard boots before so some things are a given.

Expect to hear a handful (maybe upwards of four) Sammy-era VH songs. These are usually his bigger hits (Dreams, WCTBL, Top of the World, Right Now). You'll probably hear one, maybe two Montrose songs. The rest will be all solo material, and I'd wager you'll hear some cuts off of Ten13 (depending on when the concert is you may only hear one or two).

For his past two tours Sammy has had a pretty involved set. The Red Voodoo one was done up like a club setting, not unlike the Cabo, complete with a waitress that brought him drinks on stage. I think some of his recent St. Louis shows had sand and beach volleyball before the show began. Anything is possible, he's a pretty fun-loving guy and it really depends on the venue he's playing at (obviously some make it hard to have more than a traditional set).

Hopefully it'll follow the lines of some of his previous shows and be a pretty wild place, but it really depends on the audience. The boots I heard from St. Louis are pretty crazy, but then again he's really loved in that city for whatever reason.

All in all, try to have fun no matter what the concert turns out as, and be sure to fill us in on your experience since I'm jealous

I saw Sammy for the first time solo last year. I thought his performance was great (although I prefere to see him with Van Halen)! But, sure, I would see Sammy again live. Although they are not "Van Hagar" quality shows, they are good concerts and certainly worth the money.

I would like to see Sammy since he is opening his tour about 10 minutes from where I live. Unfortunately, he picked Halloween night and I have a daughter to take trick-or-treating. Hmmm, might have to bargain with the wife on this one.

I recall these dates are just some quick fall dates Sammy decided to do since he wanted to be back on the road playing in front of people.

I don't think the big Ten13 tour starts until next spring/summer.

I'll definitely be hitting a Sammy show when more dates come out. For those wondering whether or not they should go, go! I caught Sam once on the MTM tour and twice on the Red Voodoo tour, and each show was excellent. In fact, the first show I caught on the Red Voodoo tour (at Pine Knob up near Detroit) was the best concert I've ever been to; it surpassed both VH3 (which I enjoyed immensely) and Aerosmith, my two previous favorite shows. So, he won't let you down!

I plan on seeing Sammy in Providence, RI. He always puts on a fun show. It will be nice to hear some new stuff and I'm sure he'll throw in some good VH material. Looking forward to the show.
