BTW, the ring Ed is wearing in the shots from the golf tournament is the same band that's been on that hand since before the Balance tour. The wedding ring was a double ring and it's nowhere to be seen.... Weird....

Maybe there's another explanation but ole Rex seems to be gaining credibilty with his sources...

Ed has his weddingring and his engagement ring from Val (as I've been told is the right hand ring) The only ring that is visible in the pics is the engagement ring. I dunno about anyone else, but i can't see Ed's ring finger on his left hand. So we really can't say from pics. only those who were there might be able to remember

I've never played golf before, but wouldn't you want to remove rings while you play. I would think that would affect your grip on the club.

Nope. I worked as a pro for four years. I have a few rounds under my belt. I've never taken my ring off (not even to practice, and sometimes I would practice for 6-7 hours straight). It has no effect on the grip or the swing.

I gotta disagree a bit seenbad. I am a golf coach and I have to take off my wedding ring before each round. If I leave it on, even at the range, it blisters my finger very badly. Just my experience

Chelle, you are absolutely right. This is really none of mine or anybody elses buisness outside of Ed and Val's. I only brought it up because it was mentioned alongside a slew of other rumors in a post at one of the Yahoo groups by this cat Rex, who had toured with the band on the last tour in New Zealand and Australia, and along the way made some pretty tight connections within the organization.

There were quite a few doozies of rumors in there, but for me the top number was that Eddie had admitted that the concept of the band Van Halen was dead and buried.

Seems to go hand in hand with his comments he made to Joe about multiple singers and his response to the Mike question.

I dunno. This is probably better suited to opinions and spec when I think about it.

I will say with utmost respect, and please don't get all pissed of here, that Ed looks like ass. I would say he looks the worst I've ever seen him and that would corraborate some of the other rumors Rex had mentioned regarding some of his current lifestyle decisions. [img]graemlins/cry.gif[/img]

Well, all I have to say is that if you get a blister in that area, then you have pressure applied to the wrong part of your hand for a proper golf swing. Being a golf coach, you should know that.

I play with my rings on and it doesn't affect my swing at all, BUT my hands do blister afterwards from wearing them.

Also, if you're wearing a new glove, it takes a while to "break in" your ring into it (the glove).

Simply, it would be reasonable to believe he'd take them off to avoid the blisters. Just as it is reasonable to believe his hands would feel weird without them. Thus, affecting his swing (maybe).
