I seem to think even though a reunion with Dave or even Sammy at this point does not seem likely, it will happen. Time heals all wounds, so in a year or 2 or maybe 5, Dave and the boys will play a show together for one reason or another. This is as long as everyone stays healthy. I'm not talking about the Hall of Fame show either. I just feel someday when we least expect it, they will be back, rise like a phoenix. Now, this is not to say it will be popular, that is all relative. It will be successful in the degree longtime VH fans will attend as do some others for the circus it will be. I don't know if VH can reclaim their top of the chart success after all this time away. Time will tell. Happy Holidays all.

If that were true, why would so many people still gather here and 'over there' to talk and argue and sometimes even agree on the band we all love? (well some of us do)

The dream is not over until one of the band members passes away, then the dream is over. (Unless it is Alex, sorry to say he is by far the only member they could replace and not miss the early magic. This is not a bash on Alex, just the facts. You need MA's backing vocals, Eddie's guitar and Dave or Sam.) That being said, if it is over, then I feel bad for the band for killing a once powerful machine, and the fans for staying with the band this long while being led to believe the mighty VH would return.
And by the way, besides VH, I love tons of new or still active bands like:
RUSH, American Pearl, Oleander, Butch Walker, Grasshopper Takeover, Matchbox Twenty, Lit, Enuff Z'nuff and tons of others.

Time heals all wounds?Has anyone here heard of a band called Pink Floyd?Those wounds have been there just as long as VH's,but just like VH it's never going to happen again.

Some rifts are split open too wide for time to heal. Look at John Fogerty and CCR. They refused to even play together at the R&R Hall Of Fame Inductions. Hopefully the relationships between Eddie and Dave and even Eddie and Sam aren't too far beyond repair.

VH was a constant presence for 20 years. it's certainly possible that this is just a blip on the radar, the pause between two productive eras. of course, it's also possible that ed will live, hopefully happily ever after, out of the spotlight, tinkering in the studio, enjoying time with his son, playing golf, etc. kind of drives you crazy not knowing which is going to happen, but i'll always keep an eye out for new VH, and keep enjoying other artists new work.
