Maybe Sam's in the studio with Van Halen?
It could be like 1986 all over again.
Think of it this way, back in '86, they were all bad mouthing each other and both had hit records.
Dave enjoyed the publicity he got by trading jabs with VH, and vice versa.
Could this whole thing (tour) be just a pre-lude of a re-enactment?
After the bad-mouthing stopped, Dave had mediocre at best sales and VH still went #1.
This way Dave can make $$$$ and VH can regain credibility?
You know, Mike meets up with Sam on a few shows, jams and gives Sammy a tape of new music to see what he can come up with lyrically, then brings it back to Eddie.
GOD I HOPE SO.

God I hope to hell not. I remember how bummed I was when I heard Roth had left and they had hired some other guy to try to fill the Diamond one's shoes in my eyes. THAT SUCKED!
SUCKED I tell ya. Please don't be true. please don't be true, please don't be true. "Knowing is not enough, we must apply, willing is not enough, we must do" -Goethe

Hopefully, they are recording some good rock n roll instead of that techno crap that's on his video. The 'DLR Band' CD was really good so we know they can rock out.

1) I hope Dave isn't recording more Rap/Techno/Rave like on his video - if so he is sunk.
2) He should do something sensible with his cover band like record a version of a number from 5150 with his own lyrics or something - y'know something he can reasonably expect to achieve success with because his guitarist's whole career is based on copying Eddie. That should do well within his limited fanbase - they can pretend it's 1986 instead of 1984 now . Maybe it'll sell a half million in Japan (LOL).
3) If not he should get Desmond Child, Eddie Van Halen and Sammy Hagar to write him a song like he did on the "reunion" record. That seemed to please his hard core fans.

They? Ray and Dave are the only ones left from that project.
With a little luck they'll record some rock and roll. I'm not really expecting that though, or that we'll ever get to hear it if they do.

Sounds great! I'm sure it'll be at least as good as '98's "DLR Band" which rocked!

Pffft...Jazz...yeah, Dave's a regular Miles Davis...fuck, talk about taking your hype too far.
70 percent of the video is Dave's techno/rap/rave horseshit. The only good thing about the video is reheated Van Halen and that it eventually ends.

Dave: Where'dya go??</font>
Django Rheinhardt, Tito Puente, ZZ Top, Them Beatles, Sonny Terry/Brownie McGhee, James Brown, ELO, John Brim, The Chemical Brothers, and Van Halen are all vetted up in the No Holds Bar-B-Que. I think yer post sucks, but I do dig that reheated Van Halen line--nah you cookin' with gazz!!!!!!
Dig Edgar Winter on sax, too. An' how can ya not groove to a lil' Limehouse blues boogie?? Martial arts, warfare, supermodels, playbunnies, a Chaplin-esque midget, colors that melt and splash all over yer screen, hilarious scenes, an' that sounds like a GREAT party to me...it's like the Rabbit Foot Minstrels Part 2!!!!!!
