Sam postponing some shows?

Look over at VHND and see what they have to say bout this. Also says something about an interview with him tomorrow night but the link is dead.

Here's the statement from the web site...this doesn't really make sense to me...??

The first 6 shows of Sammy's tour have been postponed. It's very important to Sammy that his fans be involved with this Birthday Bash Tour and because the first 6 shows are in small clubs, they are going to have to be re-scheduled. You all know Sammy!! He loves his fans and wants you to have fun on this tour! He will settle for nothing less! So, this really isn't bad news, it's actually good news because it's only going to be BETTER for you in the long run!! I will get the new dates up on rr.com as soon as we get them!

The postponements are fine with me. I wouldn't have been able to go to the opening show in Hartford. Hopefully, the will reschedule it.

WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?!?!?!?!?!??!

I am incredibly pissed. I just bought tickets for the Providence show last week, and NOW they are POSTPONED???? I can't get into Redrocker.com, but Sammyhagar.net says it is postponed, along with the 5 shows after it. What the hell is going on? Does that mean they will do the show at a later date, or what? I'm really upset now. I hope I don't have to wait too long, I've been looking forward to this concert for sooo long now.

Sammy HAD to postpone a few dates to finish up last-minute details of recording the new Van Halen CD.

Seriously though, has anyone heard why? I couldn't get the link to work either.

He's gonna wait till the album comes out before playing those shows. Ticket sales
were very poor for the NYC show according to my freind that works at Irving Plaza same thing as other markets like CT and PA, apparently people are not really aware
he's on tour. The TLA (Philly) and Irving Plaza venues are pretty damn small places.
1200 to 1500 capacity at max. I would
of thought for sure he'd be playing the Electric Factory (philly) or The Roseland (nyc), which are a little bigger, they hold 3000...so either It was a marketing goof to book those shows early or someones on the decline.

That sounds like a plausible reason.

Don't worry, Sammy will reschedule and play the shows, just probably not until a bit later. Personally I think he's biting off more than he can chew trying to release and album, promote it, and do a mini tour on it all at the same time.

I'm kinda confused about, at first I thought he was playing a radio show, but now from what I've heard he's playing some mexican festival, called somthing like "manana los locos 2000" or something. Does anyone have any info on this?

Not a clue. Redrocker.com doesn't offer much of an explination when it comes to tours - usually only after someone sends them in information about the concert at their venue.
