Valerie is on the cover of Redbook and the cover and headlines in the article claim that she "now" reveals new info - she doesn't. Just a rehash of the old stuff.\

I read the article while shopping in the grocery store. I admit that it was pretty evasive and there was no earth shattering information about the split. What I find interesting is that they've been separated for quite a while and neither has made a move to file for divorce.

I thought that there would be more insight into the breakup, but this is just vague repetitive information. She is staying loyal and tight-lipped, which makes me wonder if (by separating)she is trying to shake Edward up into changing his ways. Her ring is still on her finger and no news of her involved with any other men in her life leads me to believe she wants the marriage to be saved, but that things would have to change from how they were before.

I hate to comment on this stuff because it's so personal, but when I saw the cover, I was sickened by it and the title underneath saying that she's ready to love again (or something to that effect) really made me upset. I don't see any purpose for doing an interview like that other to get your damn face on the cover of a national magazine and at who's expense?

To be fair I don't think Val had any control over what was put on the cover. Also who's to say that they only interviewed her about the seperation? The interviewer could have asked her about a number of different things but only used the issue with Eddie.

The interview only had quotes from friends and stuff. It did say however, that EVH only had a 50-50 chance of survival(vs. cancer). I don't know where this originated from. Has anyone heard this before?

I read the article as well while I was in the bookstore. It has way too many quotes from other people and not herself. I noticed that they headlined about her new "single life". Did she and Eddie ever file for divorce or are they just separated?

This has nothing to do with this thread but one thing that I noticed was that VB looks different and is showing her age. I hope that I don't get slammed but it was an observation that I made.

I know, and doesn't magazines make you look ten years younger?? Can't they air brush those wrinkles?? Eddie Van Halen looked better with Cancer, then Valerie Bertinelli looks now. Yeah I might seem a but harsh. But I like Valerie just as much as BEATLE fans like Yoko Uno!!!
