My Costco gas is now $4.79/gallon. The Shell station down the street is $5.26. Apparently we're 2nd most expensive behind California.

Found it at 4.09 last Friday; topped the truck off 1/2 a tank. 36 gallon tank. I'm sure its 4.29 there now at least.

Most gas stations locally are around $6.60 a gallon and I've seen over $7 for premium (mostly Chevron stations). Meanwhile, the Dems in Sacramento have been dicking around hoping this will go away avoiding suspending most of the gas taxes despite California having a record budget surplus.

Seeing these gas prices makes one almost wish for the good old days of chip shortages. Hopefully the can do attitude that solved the chip shortage will help with gas. Just happy I got my 2 cents last December.

Up here in Toronto (where we are slaves to taxation), we pay $8.40 a gallon for midgrade 89. It cost me I believe over $140.00 to fill up my BMW540 sedan a couple days ago.

My friend is spending $225 a fill on his big Ford F150 pickup these days, and he's doing it twice a week to commute.
