Bring On SInger #4!!

I'm sure I will get flack for this but I don't care...
I have tried to be optimistic just as everybody else has over the years for a VH reunion with either Dave or Sammy (mostly Dave). But guess what folks it just ain't going to happen!!
With Sammy punching out cardboard posters of Ed, and Dave bad mouthing the brothers anytime a microphone is in front of his face, it seems that neither one of them want to reunite. And after all of this I don't blame Ed for not wanting any one of those guys back in the band.

The fact is I want to here some NEW VH music, and I don't care who sings at this point. VH3 could have been great! Admit it, when you first heard "Without you" most of you thought that it was a great song and that the new album would kick ass. Unfortuanatly it didn't, but I think that one great song proved that VH can write good music no matter who's singing.
So I say bring on singer number 4 if that's what it is going to take hear some new VH tunes! It's time to move on already.

I just want to hear new material from the brothers. I really don't care what Sam or Dave do at this point, they don't seem interested in a reunion. And Eddie can use the name Van Halen, it's his name after all. I just want to hear that guitar again...

Ditto on that, crs1984! I agree with what RVH wrote... do you really think that the VH bros. would welcome back Sammy or Dave with open arms, after the Song for Song tour? I think a reunion with Sam and/or Dave would be cool... but I don't think it will happen. Then again, the Eagles reunited, and apparently they hated each others' guts.

Unfortunately, all we can do is speculate. VH refuses to throw us a bone.

I don't know about Roth but I don't think Hagar looks at it as being taken back by the brothers. He has said he would consider rejoining the band if the apologized and he hung out with them a few days and they proved to be loyal again. Sammy doesn't need the money and along with roth are touring in front of the same 15,000+ people he would tour with if he was with VH. No way to know for sure but my guess is Sammy has a fat bank account and is not looking going to be begging anyone to take him back. Why would he?

Roth is different story but I'll let others try and make excuses for him.

Besides Black Sabbath, can anyone think of any other band who has had 4 or more singers?

How many of the bands were actually successful with this approach?

If the next singer is not David Lee Roth, I really won't care who their next singer is. For me there has always been only ONE Van Halen.

As for "the VH brothers not wanting Dave or Sam back" - the stuff they are saying about the brothers is after the fact. Dave tried to get back together with them and it didn't work out. Apparently (unless I'm mistaken), Sammy had approached them about doing a tour with Sam & Dave and the brothers shot it down.

So, the reunion(s) have been attempted to be put together and for whatever reason have not worked out! So, what the fuck do Dave and Sammy care if they badmouth the brothers?!? They're both obviously tired of growing old, sitting around waiting for them to come around and have come up with the next best thing - a tour themselves without the brothers!! At this point, Eddie & Alex have no choice but to go with a 4th singer, or album with many singers or whatever in the hell they're thinking! But, if it's the latter, I would not plan on any tour!! [img]graemlins/irked.gif[/img]

I would aslos like ot know where Mike is fitting in to all of this!?? Would he play with a 4th singer or is this a ploy to try to soften up Sammy? I find it interesting that he plays with Sammy, but won't with Roth. That also tells me that the there is some real bad blood between Roth and the band. If Mike won't talk to or play with him you know it has to be bad.

Maybe, but I think it's just cause Dave is so crazy. I would think that *anyone* has a hard time either playing or working with Dave.
Mike is only playing with Sammy because they are buds and he wants to play live again.

But, even Sammy said, Dave is easier to work with than Ed & Alex!! So, maybe the bottom line is that Ed & Alex are the problem!!
