GnR at MSG

I just found it interesting that 2 hrs after Guns n Roses tickets went on sale for MSG, Ticketmaster is sold out.

I wonder if the reaction would be the same for VH? On the Balance tour, the Meadowlands Arena was sold in less than a day. On VH 3, MSG didn't sell out. Close, but the seats in the 400s had room. (That is the small 8-10 row section at the top of the arena).

I was shocked to see it sellout so quickly especially since it's really Acl solo.

Just was curious as to what everyone else thinks about this GnR tour and what it says for VH (if anything).

Van Halen would be a top grossing tour with either Sammy or Dave.
GnR sales will peter-out a bit after they actually play a few shows and the reviews come in.

Van Halen has proved that they can sustain a high level of quality shows on their tours.
GnR hasn't.

Plus no Slash = no GnR. Its just a tribute band now IMO.

Eddymon, I certainly agree with what you said about GnR and Slash. I sure won't be purchasing a ticket to that concert. To me Slash was GnR!

I haven't been interested in GnR after that last double CD set, which had some good highlights, but was disappointing for the most part. I don't think they ever reached what they achieved on Appetite for Destruction and Axl has become a little scary. I didn't see anything worth the price of admission on the VMAs, but the MSG show should be some good mullet watching.
