Here's a topic I haven't seen: What's your favorite "solo" album from each VH singer. Estreme albums count for Gary as does HSAS for Sammy.
Roth: EEAS
Hagar: Maching To Mars
Cherone: III Sides To Every Story (Extreme)"Right Now.....Mike is thinking about a solo project."<br /><br />"Victory has a thousand fathers. Defeat is an orphan."

Dave never out did Eat'em, Gary, I really don't like anything he did ( I do think his voice in Extreme was great, songs weren't) Sammy, Standing hampton pre VH, 10/13 post VH.

Hey, 51501984 you are the first guy i know that likes Street Machine!
I also think itīs Sams best solo record. Good rock album, i mean not those stupid sounding keyboards like on VOA or something. Just Drums, Bass, Guitar, and Sams Vocals. The only record of Sam, that somehow captures the spirit of a live band and because of that, i think itīs his nearest take to sound like early VH.
Generally, i hate the records he made, when he joined Geffen up to Van Hagar. Too cheesy-80īs hair-poser-metal-sound (and look!).But some of the Capitol records sure are Rock īnīRoll.
So just for the record:my choices are:
Dave: "Eat em smile"
Sam: "Street Machine"
Gary: "Best of" (I really like that one a lot)
Cheers!

Yeah, youīre right "all night lond" is also a very good sounding record!
Do you have any bootlegs of that time? I have a lot VH, DLR and SH, but Sam boots not before `82( except one Montrose Boot, which is awesome!).
That would be great!

Mommy Dearest (1981) on Sundance Starring Faye Dunaway. One of the most unintentional funniest movies ever made. Faye actually thought she was gonna win an Oscar until she saw the scathing...
