I kind of go back and forth on this issue. Sometimes I think that Sammy was right to want to limit the number of Dave era tunes he would sing, and sometimes I think he should have done more. At the very least, it would have been nice to see them vary the Dave tunes they did a bit, which would have required them doing a few more of them. I never liked the way Sammy sang You Really Got Me, they should have stayed away from it, and the Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love/Panama thing should have been done less.

I always thought Sammy could have done a cool version of D.O.A. and maybe even On Fire, Drop Dead Legs and Girl Gone Bad. Again, maybe it's better that they left these songs alone, but the ATBL/Panama combination got really stale to me.

Although ATBL and Panama were played to death so to speak, one can't go a VH concert and not expect those two tunes to be played. ATBL is a must for any VH concert. JMO by the way. Out.

I think Sammy was LAZY when he sung the Roth-era tunes.

I think they did the Eagles,Give,Jump,One Way,I can't,and Runaround toons just like Panama & ATBL--somebody call the vet,they are beatin' the hell outta this dead horse. Shoulda put the horse's head in the bed of the person responsible fo the setlist ala THE GODFATHER!!!!!!

I'd have liked to see OTHER Montrose or Sambo solo or covers done...but it's all water under the bridge nah...got me eyes in the rearviewmirror as I follow tha hood ornament nah...

I think he could have done a few more. I fully agree with him that during his era, the show should have been at least 85% Sammy-era Van Halen. He was hired to do just that.

I think "Dance the Night Away", "Hot For Teacher", "I'm the One", and "Mean Street" would have been a nice extra touch.

Sammy is the best, so i'm sure any song he sang from the DLR era would have been good.
