...... i give my left arm to ED if he needed it ....but i think the remasters is a way to generate money for whats about to come....i bought all 6 ...they sound great...almost like pressing the eq button....my point is....why paint the barn red...when it's already red ?.....i dont know much about the music biz but maybe the well is dry...and the original vh needed a certain amount of $ to do this reunion...and the sales of vh with dave are calculated not with sam and gary.....am i making any sence ?...maybe thats why WB kept a low profile

A good point but....if they needed money so badly for this reunion, then why is there no promotion for them? As far as I can tell, there is no prmotion for them and I can't see them generating much revenue at all.
Outside of the die-hards that know about them, the general public has no idea re-masters exist.

It wasn't the band's idea to remaster the CDs and put them out again. As I understand it, WB approached them and gave them the option of doing the remastering themselves or letting WB do it. Well, naturally, the band figured if they wanted to get it done right, they should do it themselves. I highly doubt that any member of the band needs cash...Besides, Val is working

The remasters aren't supposed to be a big deal. They're there so that new fans will hear the old albums the way they should be heard. And how do you think they're planning on getting all of those new fans?

people, when is everyone going to realise that warners are just re-releasing back catalogs that were originally brought out in a rush to take advantage of the cd format...some were released not even from the original tapes. it just so happens that one of the artists, and there are MANY warners artists re-releasing albums, is van halen. nothing more, nothing less. it really is that simple.
