Cabo Wabo Tequila

I was at an Applebee's over the weekend and I look to my right and in with the menus, ketchup, etc. is an ad for Cabo Wabo Tequila. A picture of Sammy and everything. A list of I believe for drinks and their names with a pic of the bottle.

I didn't realize it was sold here. It was the last thing I expected to see and the first thing I thought of was all my fellow Linkers. [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]

My wife then proceeded to ask me questions about Sammy, Dave, and Edward. In a nutshell, I just told her that no one really knows what is going on in VH land.

Then again the bottle of the good one (blue bottle) is $60.00 and well worth it.

Sammy is quite the marketer. The same appears in the Red Lobster menu. They even have dishes made with it.

The blue bottle is NOT the good one. The rarer one, the one that can't be purchased in the US is the brown bottle. My parents were down in Cabo and I guess learned this and brought a bottle back for me.

A Mexican restaurant near me has a list of about 50 brands of tequila including Cabo Wabo. It's one of the few places that I've seen it. Haven't seen an ad for it yet.

I heard that a bottle of Cabo Tequila costs about $90.00 Canadian.

You can get the Tequila Anejo (the one in the brown bottle)in the US. Just ask your local store to order it. It may take a little while, but I was able to get two bottles this way.

We enjoy the Cabo with just a squeeze of lime and a few ice cubes. More or less a Tequila martini.

There's a liquor store by me that sells both the blue and the clear (I believe it's called blanco) bottles.

All this Tequila talk is making me really thirsty !! I love the Cabo Tequila !!

I am going to order the brown bottle as soon as I catch up, but nothing is better than some shots, with Ice and a lil' Lime. [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]

That's news to me. I just bought a bottle of Anejo not too long ago for a buddy of mine when he passed the bar exam. Got it right down the street.
BTW, they have re-done the bottles, so hang on to those old ones.
