DLR's new album

If Dave really is in the studio, it will be interesting to see if the nostalgia band he's been touring with can actually come up with some new, original music that rocks, and not some lame copy work of EVH on guitar. When Dave first went out on his own back in the 80's , he went out and got Steve Vai and Billy Sheehan...two great musicians...far from trying to copy VH...and he had a lot of success...anything new from Dave now needs to be original, and not warmed over VH. I actually read one of you guys out there saying maybe he should redo something from 5150 ?!?!? What the hell for ? To prove he's better than Sammy ?? Thats a pure waste of time and will spell doom for DLR...
I am a Sammy fan...But I wish DLR good luck on this project...he rocked back in the 80's, with and without VH ...And it would be great to hear him Rock again!!! [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]

For the most part, I've enjoyed every solo album that Dave has put out. The only exception was 'Your Filthy Little Mouth'. I couldn't stand over half the songs. I know Dave was trying to branch out but man some of those songs sucked. If Dave's new band is going to rock out, I have no doubt in my mind that it will be pretty good.
