Call for a Sam vs. Dave truce

I will stop or at least try to stop any name calling of Dave and Sam for that matter, I am an equal oppurtunity fan.

Face it, while Sammy has had better solo success in recent years than Dave. Both right now are teeter-totting on the brink of extinction.
Each one really needs a reunoin with Van Halen if they are ever going to be rocking out to 10-20 thousand fans a night at various arenas.
Maybe they should just suck up a little pride and actualy do it together.

If not, then both should just go away and let VH focus on rebuilding their band and career.

No more its "inevitable that we will work together again" BS from both men. No shit its inevitable, they will go into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame within the next couple of years.

Time to put up or shut up on both of their parts. Van Halen's been shutting up for 3 years now. But they've also had reasons and excuses.

BTW Sam & Dave, Gary has done just what I suggested the two of you do.
He only brings up VH when asked about them. And he is concentrating on his new band RIGHT NOW.

i am surprised to see YOU start this thread, eddymon- but i am DEFINITELY signing my name to a dave/sam truce thread- i am sick of the same old argument- i encourage others to do the same- and lets argue about something worthwhile for a change... i am sure we can think of something...

I've been in on a truce since Brett posted his thread regarding it. If I want to bash Sam there is another site for it and I can vent there.

I am really getting tired of all the Dave vs. Sam bickering. Especially threads that are started just to stir shit. I hope everyone here can resist the urge to bash either singer just to get reactions from others. Come on, there are better things to talk about.

The rest of your post is ok. But sorry, this one doesn't hold water. We have given excuses and reasons for Van Halen's silence, not them. Remember Eddie saying that he was healthy a long time ago? Remember him saying that he was sitting on 3 albums of material a long time ago? Remember the Eddie's "you'll be hearing from us very soon " comment? That was over 5 months ago.

The fact is, I don't care if Van Halen wants to say that it may be a while, they've got issues to deal with, things to take care of, need a break, whatever. I can deal with that. But, saying "we're ready to go make music" but doing nothing doesn't work.
