This rock station out of Buffalo had mock elections of their own last night. They had things like Best Hard Rock Song, things along those lines. They also had, you guessed it, Best Van Halen singer. This really official voice comes on and says something like "Gary Cherone just got his first vote. (Pause) No, wait, somebody just tried to cross his name off the ballot!" Just thought I'd share, this isn't me starting the "who's the best singer" war but just stating a VH reference. Enjoy!

Stuff...why do you always have to turn something that's not really about Dave into something negative against him??? This was just a funny story about a VH reference, no one said "Sammy sucks" or "Gary's queer as a football-bat" but you have to turn it into a slam against Dave. Everyone knows you like Sammy, OK? we get it!!! We don't care!!! If someones Slamming Sammy, fine. Defend.

And i've got news for you...more people have always preferred DLR. It has nothing to do with the rumors, because outside of all the hard-core fans on these sites, not many people care.

i'm a fan of sammy's as you can probaly tell by my user name but i'd probaly have to go with dave. on the other hand i wish the sam vs. dave wars would just go away.

Pulling this apart we see "growth of VH/DLR supporters." This implies that there are just as many Sammy fans out there, they just have taken a non-caring attitude as a whole due to the fact that Sammy ain't in, ain't about to be in, and ain't making any movements towards trying to be back in.

If you see an attack at DLR in that comment it's time to check the prescription on those contacts, since there surely isn't one in there.

BTW, one last thing:

Stuff...I don't come in here and turn almost every subject that doesn't have anything to do with Sammy into a slam on him. You do with Dave. I see it all over this board. ALOT of people see it all over this board. Like i said, if someone is Slamming Sammy, by all means, defend. I've got no problem with that.
