Former record executive Ted Templeman, a Van Halen buddy, has higher hopes. "I would bet you anything they get back together," he says. "I know how much they both love Wolfie and each other. I think he's probably getting his life together like a lot of us are."

Does anybody know what label Ted is with now?
Another posibility with the VH split with Warner Brothers is the fact that Mo Austin and Ted Templeman were no longer with the label? Just a thought..

It's possible that Ed and Val just need a break from all the chaos. Maybe Ed just needs to do some serious thinking about what he wants in life. Cancer probably scared him to death along with the downfall of his band, record label and management. Time will tell if Eddie the human being can get his life in order. I wish him well.

I'm surprised at how "up" on the information Ted is regarding the Van Halen's. For someone who hasn't been around for quite some time, he sure is up to date with the Van Halen info.

Does anybody have the story of why VH and TT aren't associated anymore? Did TT just leave Warner Bros. or was there some kind of a falling out?

That info was taken from the PEOPLE Magazine article. It's a good read PLUS the added bonus of TT's pic!

The Return Of Ted
September 27, 1999 - David Lee Roth has just informed The Inside that he is very pleased to have Ted Templeman as the producer for his next CD.
Dave is keeping his current band and road crew for the next album and tour, both out in early 2000. John Lowery will return as the main songwriting collaborator, although Bart Walsh and Terry Kilgore may also contribute to songwriting. Walsh and Kilgore are expected to handle all guitar duties.
Twelve songs have been written so far. Working titles include Stomping Grounds, Use My Hand, I Won't Look and China Town. There will also be a surprise cover song on the new album, which is yet to be titled.
The DLR Band will head back into the studio one week after the current tour finishes (the last date is at the House of Blues in Las Vegas on October 2.)

Speaking about Eddie, this "seperation" is just a matter of him finding something from within himself to make himself better. He has the inspiration in Valerie, but inspiration won't help 100 percent when it has to come from within.
And beyond the horizon.... a sound was heard.

Maybe.....Just maybe, Eddie looked at himself in the mirror and said...."I may be losing My looks but I still look better than Dave, and look at the Tail he's been getting......."
