Interviews? Anyone got 'em? Wanna transcribe them?

Well I want to start adding band interviews to the site, but there are so many out there, that it will take me a hundred years to compile them. If anyone has some typed, or has some and they want to type them please let me know. I'll give you transcriber credit of course on the article and the site. As far as I can tell, Van Halen interviews are an internet rarity now, I can't find them anywhere really, it would be nice to have a central place to house them. So who better than us. LOL!

If you are gonna send us some, make sure and note where they are from and the date, that would be most useful.

Brett, I have 2 that you might be interested in. One is Eddie talking about guitars in 1979 and the other is a guitar world interview just after the '96 fiasco. I can't figure out how to attatch a file to this post so I'll just attatch them to an email and send them on over to you. Hope you enjoy them. I'm afraid as far as dates and other info goes I only have what is written on the top of the interview. I know the first one is from 1979 and the second is GW and around 1996-97. I'll send 'em over.

Glad to help out Brett! Yeah, I thought the .clp format might make things difficult. If you have any more problems tell me and I'll change the format or whatever. Also it might be a good idea to search the guitarworld website for VH and see if there are any interviews there - I'm pretty sure there are some.

hey brett..interested in any of these?.....i have a special issue van halen mag called"guitar classics"..has interveiws:"eddie van halen mvp" eddie right after the 1984 tour is done...."life at the top" sammy and ed right after the 5150 tour....."acting natural" eddie right before the release of 0u812....."sammy drills eddie" this is an sammy interveiwing ed in a hotel lobby during the F.U.C.K. tour....i also have the guitar player eddie special issue with all the unpublished interveiws but others may have that...i have sammy from may 97 maximum guitar....and eddie and alex interveiw from raygun magazine december 96...any of these interest you? let me know out.

Brett, I did an 30 minute phone interview with Eddie in 1995 and I guarantee that nobody here has ever read it. It was published in a local music 'zine. I have it on cassette — I'll try to transcribe it for you and email it to you.
