Singer auditions

Since a reunion seems to be pretty much out of the question, how about VH doing open auditions for a new singer? You know theres gotta be some corn-fed junior college music major in Iowa or Wyoming with a set of pipes and the attitude that would work for VH. It would greatly improve their current PR rut because they would be giving the average Joe a shot at the big time. Let's face it VH is never going to be the same. Sure a Dave reunion would have been great, but a semi-well known replacement like Coverdale or Bach would just pour more salt in the wounds. Go with a no name and see what happens. You can't please everyone so what the hell?

How about Chris Cornell. Since that RATM thing is done. Hmmmm. But then agin, I can't see him doing any oldschool tunes either.

Cornell would be about the only name player I would like to see sing with VH if they go with another singer. Otherwise, the unknown scenario would be cool, as there have to be a handful of bad ass singers out there who could make some great tunes with VH, although I don't know how cool it would be to pull a Limp Bizkit and go town to town trying people out. Nonetheless, I would go and give them 30 seconds of everything I had, just for shits and grins and to say I tried it. Maybe set up some kind of deal where people can send in an audition tape of themselves singing a few different VH songs, and go from there, that might be cool.

They should hire Ralph Saenz. Then next year they can surprise us all by touring with Dave on a "3/4ths of Van Halen - 1/4th of Van Halen" tour. Fans love confusion.

.....I wanna see vh go to the next level..If COVERDALE is the new singer of VH....we will forget about the dave & sam wars....somthing dave & sam would'nt like......I got a feeling somthing big is brewing in 5150 & dave & sam got wind of it.....maybe that's why they are touring together
