I think VH Radio is the next step to the announcement.

Brad said that future announcements will be made there.

The question is how many more steps?
And when Michael anthony said announcements very soon, did that mean a month, or a few months? Can't be much longer than that and still be soon.

Who the hell knows anymore.

I've gave up and have been listening to jazz til the new cd comes out. Too much whining and negativity in the new rock music.

Some of it is ok, but I'll listen to Diana Krall til the VH cd comes out.

I mean, all he said was that we would hear "something" by whatever date. Remember, at the time, we had hear absolutely NOTHING. Since then, we have heard from ed (in a guitar mag interview) say that they are in the in the studio working on a new album (didnt say who was singing). We also heard mike say that there would be a tour and album later this year. So what exactly were you looking for??!! I dont get it. Were you looking for a big press conference or something? An album?? I think all he said was that we would know something by whatever date, not that we would HAVE anything. And well, ....we kind of have heard something. Maybe it just wasnt as flashy as you all wanted, but we certainly have heard something. Give the guy a break. Good lord.

Heres another possibility.

Eddie's comments about "testing the new material" could it be that they are going to play some of the new material there and have a poll as to which songs we like the most?

As of now it appears like any scenario is possible. We have waited 16 months now for any new info about Van Halen's future to come directly from the band themselves. Its high time for them to put up or shut up.

Oh, they haven't said anything, so I guess that shutting up isn't an option.

Eddymon, I agree with what you said about "any scenario being possible", but not that one.

There's no way in a million years that Van Halen is going to take brand new, unheard songs, and put them up on their internet radio station for us to decide what's good and bad. Frankly I think that would come off as a desperate move on their part, as if they'd lost the ability to tell good songs from bad songs (insert VH III joke here).

Having said that, if it ever happened, keep your eyes on the Non-Music forum for my "Eddymon is Psychic" thread.

BTW, that Oliver Stone reference cracks me up.
