I agree with Ed6150, The sound of eddies guitar has taken a turn for the worse But I attribute the sound to the buzzy high gain of the 5150 amps not the Wolfgangs. I own a few Wolfgangs and They really sound fab through my old marshalls. I really would like to see Ed pull out the marshalls again but I don't see it happening.
Ok, so that's my first post. Nice to meet you guys.

the sound on the last tour was different but i thought it was great nonetheless!
ed did play with copper picks so that will change your sound a bit. i also think that sound was used to cut through gary's vocals. dunno, i might be way off base here. but the two shows i saw ont he III tour (boston and hartford) were fabuloso

I an lucky to have saw VH with Dave(twice),Sammy(five times) and Gary. Most of these times happened to be at Sandstone. Great outdoor venue, but i like arenas too. They sounded absolutely fantastic, at least this night. My best friend, who makes a living mixing for circuit bands agreed. We sat two rows directly behind the boards, and had a cool conversation with the guys running it. The concert was awesome. See ya at Sandstone or Kemper Arena DAVE!!!

I thought the tour kicked ass! It was a nice way to return from that shit Balance act. Also I liked Ed's guitar sound but if you wanna bitch maybe it was because he used metal picks

I did see(VH3)at the Nissan Pavilon in Va. I have seen them twice with Sammy, once at the Knickerbocker arena(Albany NY),it was Eddies birthday and they played at the Hardrock in NYC that afternoon. You could tell because they were a little "Spent" for the show I saw. Another show I saw was at Weedsport NY on the fourth of July on the FUCK tour, that was a great show but it did take awhile before the sound crew tweeked in the mix right. Of the three shows I thought the VH3 "sound" show was the best. For what ever reason some sound crews take quite a long time to tweek in the mix and some get it right by the second song. The VH3 show was teeked in very fast and it was the best I've herd Eddie play of the previous 2 shows. I noticed no difference in the Brownsound. It may differ from concert hall to concert hall.

Eddie's guitar had a VERY dry, classic fuzz sound to it during the 3 tour. It's definately a departure from what he used durring the Balance tour for example.
