I'll go a step further and say this is just about my favorite VH song regardless of era. Love the solo. Great bass sound. I really loved the direction VH was going in and am sad we'll never know what the next Sam Halen CD would have sounded like.

Being tuned down a half step kind of gives it an old school vibe. Sounds kind of fairwarningish. The doubled vocal down an octave was a good enhancement. The only gripe I have is the "shine on" chorus really didn't fit well with the dark theme of the song. However, it still fucking rocks! [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]

The solo is without doubt my favorite, the almost JAWS like monotonous section speeding up and bursting into a flurry of lovely tapping and ending with the ever higher and higher bends [img]graemlins/bounce.gif[/img]

Incidentally - anyone else like the way in the film the orchestral music gels into the intro riff ?

Absolutely loved the song the very first time I had heard it. The chorus, the spooky intro and Alex's kick ass drumming are my personal favs.

Loved the song and the low vocal ed did. The fluidness of the one ascending note got me a little too excited once when I heard to doing my girlfriend at the time, if ya know what I mean.
