Ok - weird question - - - DLR used to have these sunglasses that were ultra cool. They were regular shades - but had a viynle edging around them that would protect against the sun / wind getting in. They are perfect for mountain climbing!

For those of you who have his book - look in the pictures section; you'll see him wearing them quite a bit - however, the picture with the caption "no Starbucks for 700 miles" has a close up of what I am talking about.

I used to have a pair when I was a teenager - but they were only a knock off of the "name brand".

Does anyone know the style type - or name brand that these are? I know I know - stupid question - but I want them for climbing - and when I ask the store people they don't have a clue!

    HELP!!!!

Vuarnet (I don't know if they're still around) used to be the sunglasses of choice for surfers, skiiers, and wannabe cool dudes and dudettes in the 80's. I had the "cat eye" style myself. Good luck.
