Man, I just read that. I have said on several occasions that I thought Ed's health was a major reunion issue, but I hate having that confirmed by him. Kinda makes many of these other threads immaterial at this point, doesn't it?

This is what I thought all along.

Taking into account the story last May, the sudden hush hush from everyone, and the lasting silence, it seemed like the only possible scenario, unfortunately.

I think this can put in perspective what is really important, and hopefully quiet all of the whiners who put down Eddie and the band.

Unfortunately this sheds light on why the wait has taken so long. It was very gracious of Ed to give us this personal information. I hope he gets well as soon as possible. I feel safe to say that most everyone at the Links would agree that Ed needs to take as much time as he needs to get well. Get well soon Ed, we love ya!

We've all been concerned about Ed's health for a long time. I'm glad we are in the clear about his condition. He really didn't have to tell us about this personal matter, but I think Eddie is a good man for doing so.

Damn, I just read it over again a few times, and this is really not good.

Head AND neck surgeons?? Either the truth didn't come out about where the problem was, or the cancer has spread. (or are they checking to make sure it hasn't spread?)

To say that he is beating cancer, and he MAY be cancer free in the future really got to me. How bad is/was he? Damn Brad for his lies.

I think we need to look positively at this situation. If Ed says that he is healthier than ever, then I think that we need to trust him. I hope he does get better, though. But I do feel that things are going up for Van Halen. Perhaps this is the reason that the band began talking now, b/c ed IS better. I doubt they'd say anything about ANY kind of music if Ed's life was in jeopardy. God Bless you Ed.
