How Big Does The New Vh Album Have To Be?

Whether the band reconvenes with Dave or not, one thing for sure is they're goin' to have to come out with a "kick ass" new record.

My question is this: Out of all their past albums, which one do you think the new album will have to be like, in order for you to be satisfied. Don't necessarily think in terms of records sales or popularity. For me, somethin' along the lines of Fair Warning would make me a very happy man!

It has to be something rockin enough like Fair Warning, I agree, however, this long out of the public eye, they are going to almost have to have something much more commercial and air wave friendly.

Whatever they decide, it has to be better than VH3, or, IMHO, they could be done for.

I don't really know how to answer this. Obviously the six DLR VH albums were made by the same four people so there's an obvious link. And yet they're very different albums from each other.

The next album (if there is one) will surely continue that trend. So I can't really say that I'm expecting it to sound anything like any of their previous efforts. They've got a wealth of talent and experiences (good and bad) that will make this sound unique.

I just don't see the new album sounding a whole lot like the first six. That would be great. But I would rather hear these guys do what made them famous to begin with. REDEFINE ROCK!

If it sounded like Fair Warning no one but the die hards would bat an eye.

It has to sound new and different, something amazing enough that it will force the modern rock stations to want to play it. Something strong enough that will convince record labels to give hard rock a chance again.

Don't look for Fair Warning Part II, otherwise you'll be very disappointed with it.

IMO it has to sound like Me Wise Magic/Can't get this Stuff no More/Humans Being, to even get much notice.

Has to have a HUGE first single/video and alot of press.
