    Default VHI B/W Question

I've never been happy with my first Black and White VH axe so I'm going to start another one here in the next few weeks. I'm going old school on it because I did a Floyd Rose on the first one and it just never sat well with me.
I'll throw this question out here. There is an odd stripe inside the top horn and I'm wondering if anyone know where it originates and ends.

You can't really tell from these that it's even there.

Does anyone have a pic that will answer this for me?
Here's my first one. I did the body and the neck and noticed right off that my 12th fret markes were too wide.

It's pretty much what you see on your first pic.

Wo! Are you saying that the second stripe goes to the heal and stops and the third stripe comes out of it and towards the middle top part of the body?

If this is true I'm repainting a few guitars soon.
Dammit! I should have just kept quiet!

Thanks, but it's one of those things that I'll notice every time I pick it up.

It's funny, but while taping this guitar for stripes, and my original Frankenstein that I traded off recently I was never told that I was making this monumental mistake with the stripes in this area. I'm sure certain people knew and just because they're making a living illegally selling these they keep some secrets when it comes to accuracy.

Actually, the first two top stripes on the top horn is the same piece of stripe that wraps around it and ends up near the neck joint.

Yes, the red arrows are the stripe on the front and the yellow shows it's path on the back.

I know James; he and I don't really see eye-to-eye, but thanks anyway.

If you send your guitar to me, I promise to spend the next 24 months analyzing exactly how the stripe should be applied.

    Honest.......

I made a nice striping diagram....hmm, guess I can't attach files, thats useless. Anyway, yeah, a Floyd looks pretty silly on the B/W (NOBODY talks about the brass Mighty Mite bridge that was originally on this guitar, why?). I gave up trying to make a realistic looking B/W Frankie a long time ago because with out getting the contour shape right the rest does not matter (getting a template from photographs never works). Maybe someday Edward will have the Frankie body scanned with a laser and replicated exactly using computerized cutting tools, then I would consider paying $25k. For me, what makes the Franky really cool looking was always it's particularly unique strat shape and then the stripes. It even looked cool in the Whiskey days before it was first striped!

How odd is it that you chimed in? I was just gonna tell Kyle to shoot you an email with the stripe question (since the "template" that you gave me w/the Epi is just white paper on the back! )
