Brian Wilson mentions DLR about 'California Girls'

Brian Wilson, founder of the Beach Boys, is playing in Connecticut this weekend. He was interviewed for the Hartford Courant and was asked this question, "What remakes of Beach Boys songs do you like the best?" He responded with, 'David Lee Roth doing California Girls'.

I'd love to hear DLR do that song live with Van Halen. They could really give that song a shot in the arm.

Of course he likes it. Both versions are nearly identical and DLR even had a Beach Boy or 2 sign harmonies on his version. Brian Wilson is/was a musical genious, though.

Van Halen would sound fun playing this song, Mikey and Ed harmonizing, would be fun.

However, I dont think there is a rats ass chance in hell of ever hearing that.

christopher cross also sang back up, and i believe only brian sang with him on that track. i think he was the only beach boy. but christopher cross has the same type of voice as them and prob why it sounded so original.
