    5150 amp question... please help

ok, i have a 5150 4 12 cab. I am not playing through a 5150 head, but i do have the cab. one thing i was wondering was what is the importance of the xlr jack on the back of the 5150 cabinet? can anyone shed some insight on this?

also, im in a band, and i want to take suggestions on how the good way to set up a rehearsal room would be.

Based on an eBay auction i found, it's an XLR input. The 6505 cabs have them too. Although the 5150/5150II heads only offered 1/4 inch outputs, i guess Peavey figured the cabs were more versatile with both types of inputs - in case you were using the cab with another head. Hope it helps.

One suggestion: Let the non-drunk guy have unrestricted access to the PA. That'll help keep the extra loud banter from the drunk guy with a microphone to a minimum.
