I found out this afternoon that two of the most important members/ songwriters of DLR Band, John Lowery and Bob Marlette, were with Rob Halford for his 2WO project a year earlier they hooked up with DLR.

Bob Marlette was also an important songwriter on the latest Rob Halford album, "Resurrection".

    Hi Luca what's up?

    So he's a professional songwriter...

That Lowery is quite the guitar mercenary... in the time span of only 2 years (1997-1998) he played with Rob Halford, David Lee Roth and Marilyn Manson!

    Agreed Doc
Doin' fine btw, finished some of my 2000 major efforts at work.
That guy Lowery really nailed his sound with DLR, I didn't hear him with Rob, though I'd be interested...
This from a guy that still *loves* his DLR Band cd and hasn't still removed it from the car cd-loader

Bob Marlette also co wrote all but one song on the new Tony Iommi solo album.

Yep your right. Marlette and Lorey were in Two and Marlette wrote with Rob Halford on his latest release.
Bob Marlette also produced Alice Coopers latest release Brutal Planet. I think he definetly brings a heaviness to the groups he produces, especially Cooper and Halfords stuff.

    Hi there Doc!
Bob Marlette worked with a HUGE lot of talented musicians, he wrote a lot of songs and collaborated with people like Neal Schon (his first solo record, Late Nite, is almost cowritten with Bob, 1988), John Wetton (former singer for King Crimson, Asia, and solo musician), and many others...

Bob Marlette also produced the last Quiet Riot cd called alive and well. He did an excellent job on that cd too.

His work with Alice Cooper is awesome. Brutal Planet is my favorite album of the year so far.

I hope produce one of my favorite artists soon.
