remember the rumors that vh had been picked up by reprise records? dunno how many of you saw it but it was reported on the vh yahoo groups.

It seems as though the list of artists they have is for all WB artists..........not just necessarily Reprise artists.

I am thinking somebody fucked up and forgot to delete VH.......or WB's still wants to promote the back catalog.......so they still promote Van Halen.

i'm just passing along info i've seen on the yahoo groups list is all.

as far as i know, yes, reprise is a subsidary of wbr. to my knowledge, vh has never been on the reprise label before

It looks like a subsite of Warner Brother, this was also on their site http://www.warnerbrosrecords.com/find.html You would think they would have removed them after they parted ways

If you look in the code behind the page you'll find this disclaimer:

Anyone wonder if the WB Split was part of the Ray Daniels thing? Maybe they had to void the contract so Daniels couldn't receive future income from VH's work. By signing a new contract could they wipe out any income Daniels could collect from the Record company? By signing to Reprise instead of WB could that be a loophole? I find it hard to believe that WB could keep VH on their list of signed artists if they weren't so. This just doesn't seem like the kind of oversight a company like Warner would make.
