    Default D Tuna Problem. HELP!

I've installed several D Tunas and had no problem. I just got a new Kramer 1984 and I can't get it to work. It goes Too Sharp. WHen I engage the Tuna(push in)it goes from "D" to "F or F#).Any suggestions on how to get this working. I'm using it with an Original Floyd Rose. It's non floating.

Excellent info in that link. However, my problem is still there it just goes way too sharp. and that is with the "set screw" out. I believe it just needs to be filed down. They need to make them smaller.

At closer look I believe it is that "U" shaped thing being too fat. I don't have access to a Dremel tool. What else can I use?

Actually I just hammered it through several times and that widened the "U" in the tuna!

I concur. Who do we have to talk to make that happen?

On an aside, its rather unfortunate that everyone that gets one is having to deal with this.

The manufacturer claimed to be adding a check in the manufacturing process so that no more D-tunas with this flaw could get out into the wild, and they also promised to fix/ replace any exhibiting this problem. Although, I originally tried to get mine fixed, and they claimed not to have received my email.

Keep in mind that they also claimed that "this defect is SO rare that its a non-issue..."

My guess is that they stand to lose several million dollars in the recall that probably SHOULD happen. I'm no fan of Fender gear, but if Ed were to allow them to take over the manufacturing of the D-tuna, I wouldn't mind that one bit...

Yes, we've heard this same story sung here more than a couple of times, and that hardly indicates a "rare" problem. As I said in my post to the original thread, one of the two I've had standing by had the problem, and we've already heard of several cases here. Those instances are already enough to move it away from "rare" and into the status of "a problem."
