Did Eddie really play on an otherwise forgettable tune back in the seventies as a favor to Ted Templeman? A buddy of mine sent it to me today and I'll be damned if it didn't sound just like EVH, particularly the solo and the ending. Supposedly EVH did it as a favor for Ted who was producing some ladies album. Eddie hated it and had his name removed from the album credits. This was all news to me.

Yeah, it was a Nicolette Larson song called "Can't Get Away From You."
Nicolette Larson later returned the favor by singing one line (with the guys) in the VH tune "Could This Be Magic."

I have a recording of VH singing to a Nicolet Larson tune in the studio "gonna take a lot of love". Except they change it to "gonna take a lot of drugs". Its funny. I believe they recorded it when they did the 25 song demo with WB. VH sounded like they were high when they did it.
