Eddie's Health?

Hi everyone. Firstly, I'd like to say that i am real excited to find this board. I am a lifelong VH fan, but I have only just got an internet connection!

Anyhow, I have read some disturbing rumours on this site about Ed having more problems with cancer, and I was wondering if anyone has heard any news regarding his health?

Hey, welcome, I'm a newbie too. [img]graemlins/bounce.gif[/img] I am also a die-hard VH fan. Anyhow, in response to your post- I don't know if you have read any recent news and/or other posts here but, basically it's all mixed ideas as far as his health is concerned. I've heard that when he appeared at NAMM recently he looked horrible and was drunk and I've also heard that he looked rather well at that appearance. I've never heard anything bad about him until the whole NAMM appearance. I wasn't there so basically it could go either way. Personally, nobody in the media has come forth with any reports of any recent drinking or health scares, which they are usually quick to jump at, so I'm guessing that everything is ok with him. I could be wrong but for right now, the only people who REALLY know are his family, friends and Eddie himself. I don't suggest you worry. At least not until your given a really good reason to. Just hang in there with the rest of us and pray for Eddie's health and for the possiblity of any good things happening for VH in the near future. Don't fully believe anything you read about him. Just my advice. Take it or leave it. Take care fellow VH junkie. VH RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [img]smile.gif[/img]

Aside from Ed's bad habits (which are his business), there is nothing pointing to him having cancer.

He was treated because of cancer in 2000, but to me he looks fine again. That was not always the case and the NAMM 2000 and the golf tournament pics last year showed that. But nowadays he should be well again. [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]

I have no idea what I am talking about, but if he was given a clean bill of health that recently, and he is in a financial position to rigorously monitor his health situation, is it feasable that he could be in the position where he only has months to live?

This is why I hate rumours. Ed is my childhood hero, and although I only know the man's music, I care a great deal about him, because he has given me so much through his music.

I once read that he hated the public tendency to think that once they buy a cd, they own a piece of him personally- I agree, and I feel guilty for fuelling the rumour-mill in any way shape or form.

I am rambling here. I just want to say that Ed, I hope you are well, and life is being good to you.
