Ask ANY scientist and Pulminary expert (ie: Doctor) and they'll tell you that while Cigarettes may cause cancer they STILL cannot say why. They cannot link any of the individual elements to cancer.
Except one, and it's one that makes sense: Radiation.
The tobacco leaves absorb and expell higher rates of gamma radiation when burned than vegetable matter from the area surrounding Chernobyl does.
