Ed looks good and I think we have a good chance this time out. New Bass player pics..
I was completely impressed by the way Ed looked in Guitar world.
I really was thinking he would be a worse for the wear after rehab.
All I can do now is pray and hope that Dave's gonna work out.
And if were not using mike, I'd like to offer up choices for replacements. Main criteria, whoever it is they have to be able to sing, chops are probably secondary. But Ed being a musician's Musician maybe might be looking for a challenge. So here are my top two pics, chime in if you got some picks too...
1) Tony Franklin The Firm, Blue murder, Lots of studio.
2) Billy Sheehan DLR mr Big etx... I know he's gonna be on everybody's list.
Of course, I'd like Mike back but... its not up to us is it....

Are you kidding? Ed looks incredible, he looks about the same age as my brother (37). Very nice!
Well, if we can't get Mike back, Billy Sheenan should, without a doubt, be THE MAN!!! My second choice would be Evan Seinfeld from Biohazard. He's also a good singer too.Last edited by Kimmie5150; 06.03.07 at 10:16 PM.

I don't have a second choice, it's gotta be Mike...
“And what we have at our fingertips is arguably one of the greatest high tenor voices ever – that was in Michael Anthony. In our tiny little corner of the universe, that voice is as identifiable as the high voice in Earth, Wind & Fire, as identifiable as the high voice in the Beach Boys. Van Halen is an indelicate house blend of both – that’s intentionally. So I would always look forward to that reunion.” - David Lee Roth

DLR, circa 2001:
"Hey this is David Lee Roth and I promised you the news and here's the news.
About a year ago myself and the great Van Halen band played together once or twice and it sounded amazing!
In the following several months Edward and I, Edward Van Halen and me, David Lee Roth, created some of the most amazing, phenomenal - the hands fell off the clock ladies and gentleman and we wrote three astonishing tunes.
That was last July (2000) and since then I haven't been up to the studio, we haven't really been in touch and we haven't made any music, but I am holding forth, I'm in the shape of my life and I got the high note - I'm ready to go.
And I am positive for the future ladies and gentleman.
Stay tuned and I'll tell you what the future brings..."

If I had to choose a realistic replacement, why not Jack Blades? He can sing, he's been around, and he's a good bass player.
QUOTE]
Ya know, Blades would be a great choice. He's a helluva writer as well. Actually run into him once or twice a year here. He's got a cabin over on the island. Really good guy to bullshit with and very fan friendly.
First time I met him was on the Mukilteo Ferry and kept thinking I know that's Jack Blades but what the hell would he be doing in Mukilteo. Anyhow he told me of the cabin and I met Molly his wife. Very cool guy. Drives a Black Pathfinder up here. All you need in this life is a tremendous sex drive and a great ego , brain's don't mean a shit! ~ Captain Tony Tarracino

Why is it not surprising Ed didn’t do normal cancer treatment? The guy just didn’t fucking get it. Yeah there’s nothing wrong with trying some experimental shit, but you absolutely need to go through...
