Is Edward Prepared ?

Writing this post w/ the assumption that Edward calls most of the shots-
Is Edward prepared for the backlash that his band would recieve if he had a fourth singer come into the fold? At this point , after a year of no news WHATSOEVER, having anyone else at the helm besides Dave would be absolutely career suicide.I gave Cherone a chance,as every fan should have , but as we all agree , something was missing . ( not to discredit Cherone Aswe all have come to find out was a dynamite guy and a very talented guy but just wasn't the right fit ) Edward should really learn from this mistake and realize that Everyone wants Dave back. Warn Bros., Tour promoters would not back anything else at this point! The fans would not care for it at all because they would be too pissed. Ed needs to understand that we all have waited too long for a reunion not to take place at this point!!!If dave comes back it will be the biggest comeback of all time in rock and roll, Hands down!!! They will win a huge amount of new fans who just want to jump on the band wagon (= album sales ) and will finally redeem themselves of that nightmare of June thru Sept. 96. Thier tour would sell out everywhere from here to Timbuktu, and the money generated would be astronomical ( not they really need it ) NOw, If you want to hire someone else for lead vocals because you two cant get along thats fine , and thats your decision. Just remember because of that decision dont expect to be playing in front of more than 15 people at a time. Wise up and do the right thing !!!

If history had taught us anything, it's that Eddie is not an incredibly smart man. I don't really think he gives a rat's ass what the fans think, and I'd bet he's the one whose been difficult to work with, not Dave.

More than anything in music, I'd love to hear a full album put together by Alex, Michael, Eddie and Dave. But if it doesn't work out for whatever reason, I'll buy the next DLR project and the next Van Halen project. There's too much talent there to be ignored if they choose seperate paths.

If Dave and Eddie can't co-exist and make music together, they shouldn't have to. There's always another avenue to be pursued for a true musician. If that means selling 500 000 records and playing 8000 seaters, there's no shame in that. Sure it looks bad next to 10 million records and arena sell outs, but time does roll on, and that's as it should be.

I'm sure Edward would laugh at these silly posts, That is if he would ever bother to read them. Listening to some of you I wonder why on earth you feel that Ed owes you anything. I know what I would say if I was Edward. ........ "Shut the F**k up already!".... But of coarse I'm not Edward so I'll just sit back and be quite.

Stickman, all I can say is put down the crack pipe. Do you work for WB? Are you a tour promoter? Edward, Alex, and Michael do things on their own schedule! They have their own studio. They don't need WB to distribute their music. You could get 2000 people to buy tickets to see EVH fart into a cello. So don't hand us this "quit the music business if you don't kiss Dave's ass!" Let Dave go back to playing night clubs. Maybe he and Axl can team up for a "Big Loser" tour. Come out and wait for hours to see the hair club president!

There's only one ego in VH that has ever needed to be fed by an audience, and it don't belong to anyone playing an instrument.

No, I can never say that I've seen Edward try to be humble. Did someone run up to him and ask him to be humble or something, and he didn't perform up to standards?

It's just that I haven't seen EVH trying to put together a Las Vegas show.

Maybe it's not so much an ego problem with Edward, as it is having to constantly being reminded how big an "asshole" he is for not trotting out the world's biggest twat to embarass the band.

If I recall correctly David Lee Roth once said (during his lounge years) "I don't play rock and roll now. I'm not that angry anymore." I am sure I read this in an interview during that time period...(wish I had saved or could remember even, what magazine it was)

I always felt that was just one of those statements ya say as an excuse for why you are where you are. ie: why he was playing Vegas nightclubs instead of rocking 45,000 plus stadiums...

So if DLR is back in Van Halen, does that mean he's angry again?......LOL

its when they ask him what he thinks of being called a guitar god. anyway, ego is not the problem its the fact that DLR is in outer space most of the time. ed grew up & dave didn't
