Favorite Cop/Private Detective Shows...

Here's something we have not done in a while: List your favorite Police and or Private Eye shows.

Due to the vast difference agewise of VH Linkers, the results should vary accordingly. Many of the old school like me will remember "Harry-O", "Mannix", "Barnaby Jones"( ), or perhaps "Cannon" (starring the immortal William Conrad, a personal hero for his role as narrator of "The Adventures Of Rocky And Bullwinkle").

Younger viewers might list "Remington Steele", the first two seasons of "Moonlighting" or "Twenty-One Jump Street".

One may wish to leave out syndicated fair such as "Renegade" or "Police Surgeon" ( Sam Groom, anybody? ) or shows that do not fit the genre, like "The A-Team" or "Mission: Impossible".

Simon and Simon rocked. Rick, AJ, the Dodge Power Wagon, the Hole in the Water....good times.


Obviously, the S & S lead-in, Magnum P.I. , was a given. I never saw the finale.....was Higgins really Robin Masters?

Barney Miller, though it was comedy and not so much a police show.

Homicide with Belzer and Kyle Secord was great.

Hill Street Blues was amazing in it's time, and Joyce Davenport can still get some.
